Welcome to the Faded Blue Jeans website.

Faded Blue Jeans Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization serving the spiritual and emotional needs of inmates in prisons and jails in Texas and throughout the United States.  This non-denominational Christian ministry provides a unique 12-step recovery correspondence program The Steps to Freedom (c).

Offenders and ex-offenders can do the program at their own pace either individually or within a group.  It is designed for alcoholics, drug addicts or anyone seeking rehabilitation assistance.  The program is available to all, regardless of their ethnic background, sex or offense.

How to Help

Volunteer Reader:  New readers must be a regular attending member in good standing within a local church and have a letter of reference from their Pastor.  They must receive training and agree and sign the stated rules of confidentiality provided in their Reader Work Books.

Volunteer Coordinator: Coordinators work within the local churches to facilitate the dispersing of the steps to the Readers.

Office Help:  Data entry, opening mail, copying, mailing out graded step/studies along with the following sequenced step/studies,  general office organization and supply inventory, answering phone and directing calls.  Data logs on all outgoing mail, etc.

Prayer Support:  Daily covering the ministry, inmates, volunteers in prayer as the Holy Spirit leads.

Donate/Sponsor an Inmate:  You may sponsor an inmate by donating funds to cover the cost of materials and postage.  Please click on the button below.
